The third eye chakra rules over higher functions and is the centre for insight, intuition, psychic attunement, imagination and memory. It's the ability to see rather than look- to understand the big picture.

So here's the thing. Third Eye Chakra is one of the areas I (and most people) struggle most with- why? Because our logic brain gets in the way. Third eye chakra?! That's for broom skirt wearing, kale eating, yoga practicing hippies.
If you know me I'm decently business minded, I'm a boss/manager of adults, make a zillion decisions a day and am zoo keeper for children (who are my heart by the way)- certainly not the "woo woo type."
Right? Nope. Yes I am all of those things, but I also appreciate a spiritual practice. I want to better myself physically, emotionally and mentally. I want to flow with the world around me. I want to BE BETTER. For myself and for the people around me.
So where does that leave me? So often- I feel caught between a false? dichotomy. Self imposed? Likely. It's only been recently that I've been feeling comfortable stepping into the light and embracing my "hippie side." 
I used to think that I had to be one or the other- the #BossBabe or the hippie. But here's the thing I have found- there is this amazing peace in finding the confidence to just get over yourself and BE. I have realized that trusting my intuition, embracing flow and leaning into my insight allows me to see in a way I never could or understood when I was listening to my strictly logic brain. I am much better me than I ever was before.
Embrace it all. Own the dichotomy.

When out of balance you might feel indecisive or that your efforts are pointless. You might feel like your life, or your work lacks purpose.

When in balance you might feel clear and purposeful. Like you are able to see and understand greater truths and purpose. You will likely have a sense of "knowing" as you are in tune with your own inner guidance and knowledge.

Here's a few of my favourite tips:

🧐 Practice your intuition. You know those moments when you just KNEW something was going to happen? Pay attention to your very first feeling. Then, notice when your first feeling was right. Write it down. This is how you train your logic brain to trust your intuition.
👩‍❤️‍👩  Let go of competition. With yourself and with others. Take a look at your life and assess for competitive areas in relationships and habits. Work on releasing that energy and replacing it with presence, community and kindness. 
📝 Keep a dream journal. Our brains are crazy busy at night trying to make sense and sort through all the experiences we had, and some of the ones we didn't realize we were having. When you first wake up quickly write down what you can remember. Reflect on it.
🌌 Go star gazing. You know that old quote, "We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." There's no better way to consider our place and purpose than under a bright star filled sky.
🙅‍♀️ Detox. Pick a timeline and cut out alcohol, sugar, caffeine, limit screen time and superfluous medications. See how you feel (after you get over the hump).
